I find it hypocritical and kind of offensive that some women, who claim to promote hair growth and natural body positivity, don’t shave their pits, yet they still shave their legs. They use their arm pit hair solely as a self-affirming symbol of their “feminist” voice, but don’t stand behind the concept when it comes to their legs or other taboo growth areas. I’m all for having a choice, to choose how you want to express and present your body, but when people pretend to promote a radical concept that they don’t even fully stand behind, I don’t know, it just makes me question their intentions.

I get some pretty degrading comments when I wear shorts or a swimming suit, because I have some grizzly looking legs, but it’s something that I fully believe in and I don’t really mind the ignorant banter I get from it. I get way more comments about my legs than my arm pits, but no one ever brings up female leg hair, for some reason it is never brought up or photographed. I just wonder why hairy pits have become a symbol for natural beauty and feminist ideals. Is it just a cover up way to fit into a niche “movement” that is really just a passing fad for them or are these ladies serious about their beliefs?

Okay, rant over.
